CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
If you are new to yoga, we recommend 2 classes, Very
Gentle and Yoga 101 to help get you started with your
practice. Private yoga sessions area also available to help
prepare you for group classes. The second level of classes
includes any of the Slow Flow, Flow, Core Control, or Rise
and Shine Classes. Classes such as Ashtanga Inspired
Flow or Power Vinyasa are suggested for participants with
previous yoga experience.
Very Gentle Yoga is about practicing movements that help
participants move through daily life at their highest potential
and joy! This class is great for beginners, special conditions,
rehabilitation and seniors. Many poses will use props such
as a chair, wall, bolster, and/or blocks. We supply the props.
ALL LEVELS
Yoga 101 is specifically designed for participants to build
confidence and body awareness. The set series of Yoga 101
postures allow participants to gain a better understanding
of how postures work while continuously challenging them
as their practice progresses. Questions are welcome during
class. ALL LEVELS
Slow Flow is a class designed for those that enjoy the
stretching and strengthening benefits of a yoga practice at
a slower pace. Emphasis is on pose progression, alignment
and breath work. ALL LEVELS
Core Strength and Control will move between
fundamental core work and exploration of basic mat
exercises. Learn how to engage your core and move with
strength and stability. ALL LEVELS
Rise and Shine!! first thing in the morning at the studio with
a slow and steady paced yoga practice that will awaken the
spine, activate the breath, increase circulation and flush the
body with oxygen! Tea, coffee, and a granola bar available
after class! ALL LEVELS
Flow at a moderate pace with a steady flowing vinyasa
class proven to improve flexibility, cardiovascular health and
strength! Every class is a new adventure! ALL LEVELS
Power Vinyasa Flow is an energetic, flowing practice
emphasizing the connection between mind, body and
breath. Each class is a unique flow that combines deep
breathing with conscious movement to develop strength,
balance, and flexibility. SOME YOGA EXPERIENCE
SUGGESTED
Ashtanga Inspired Flow will bring participants through
a set series of poses influenced by the primary series of
Mysore - Style Ashtanga Yoga. Sun Salutations are followed
by dynamic standing poses, deep bends, and twists. SOME

Workshop:
Yoga and Guided Imagery as a Form of Meditation.
Saturday, February 18 10:30am – 12:30pm
Sign up in advance for this very special yoga practice for
all levels that will combine guided imagery and a slow
vinyasa flow practice. Guided imaging has long been
used to quiet and focus the mind. Attend and learn how
you can benefit by incorporating both yoga and imagery
into your daily lives. $20- Advance sign-up necessary.

Studio Policies
1. Classes operate on a first come first practice
drop in. No sign up required.
2. You may not reserve a space for classes, but you
may for workshops.
3. Arrive at least 5 minutes before class to get
checked in. Classes begin promptly at start time.
Once class starts, it is closed. No late entry.
4. Please do not leave during final relaxation/
Savasana, as it is disruptive to others.
5. Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne
to class.
6. Wear comfortable, “moveable” clothes.
7. Yoga is best practiced with an empty stomach
and bladder.
8. Please clean borrowed studio mats after class.
9. Remove your shoes and other footwear and
leave them outside the door before entering the studio.
Inclement Weather Policy:
When MCS has a 2 hour delay, we will cancel any
classes that begin before 10am. When MCS has
cancelled classes for the day, we will cancel our
morning classes and hold the afternoon classes
as usual unless there is a Snow Emergency for
Madison or Jefferson County. Call or check our
